Probably the best latte I've ever had. Very good sesame bagel & the garlic herb cream cheese was fantastic. There are a few places to sit, of course they were all full (not surprised because it was fantastic)

A little underground cafe with excellent coffee drinks and cocktails Cute little tables, bar seating, and a corner booth are all available. Excellent service from very nice people! My new go to for a girl date.

5 Stars!!! Tucked away in a stylish basement space, Café Sous Terre is an absolute gem in the heart of Midtown Detroit. The vibe is a perfect blend of mid-century modern and art deco—effortlessly cool without trying too hard. The team running the place couldn’t have been more welcoming. They took the time to walk us through the menu, explain the drinks, and make sure we felt right at home. The seating is thoughtfully arranged and super comfortable, and there's even an outdoor patio space for sipping and people-watching. This place has officially become my go-to coffee spot whenever I’m downtown. Can’t wait to come back!

BEST COFFEE SHOP IN DETROIT!! I love Cafe Sous Terre and have been a regular customer for the last 10 months. They have the best iced mocha lattes (they aren’t too sweet-just perfect). I also enjoy the chocolate croissants and always grab one when they’re available. The environment is perfect for getting work done or chatting with a friend or two. My lab and I just celebrated a surprise baby shower for someone and took the corner booth. Staff were very accommodating and even took a photo of our entire group. I really love this place and am so glad it’s close to campus. It’s also a nice place to come for a few drinks. I love bringing people here to the bar when it’s their first time in the city. It’s the coolest place and very unique. I’ll be a regular customer here for sure.

Such a neat find; a hidden gem with great coffee. Iced coffee with their Floral Blend syrup, Coconut Caramel iced latte, Croque Monsieur sandwich were a delight. Good place to chill, read or study or just relax

Super cool chic atmosphere, complete with a niche indie soundtrack. Very good coffee. Can't speak to anything else food wise. I'd go back anytime

Visited for an afternoon pick-me-up latte and boy was I in for a treat! After ordering a London fog latte with oat milk I so happened to get Harrison for a barista who is passionate and knowledgeable about tea, so much so he had an organic earl grey blend in the back that he made it with and it was HEAVENLY. He was so personable and helpful also in recommending restaurants for our dinner later in the evening. The vibe here is so good. Parking is tough but it’s a walkable area so easily accessible if you’re walking around town. We also hit up Bon Bon Bon for treats, The Nest for gifts, and Carhartt. Fun lil midtown date!

Checked this place out for Vinyl Wednesday and it was a vibe!! The atmosphere is super cozy and the music was 10/10. Great place to chill during the week and listen to some live DJs

Very cute and tasty cafe. The quiche was sold out, so it must’ve been good. I instead got the Parmesan bagel with garlic herb cream cheese and it was fantastic. I dare say it competed with Detroit bagel. The caramel macchiato was good, had a slightly toasted taste, almost like caramel brûlée. Overall, I am very satisfied. I work EMS and am usually in the area so I plan to visit again. I would like to try the quiche and an iced coffee next time.

This is one of my favorite places in detroit. They are a great study spot during the day and an even better hang out spot with friends at night. There are several nights a week where they have little events like jazz nights on sundays. The staff is very inviting, the building is nice and warm, and it is always clean. The quiche is amazing too
